Edit chart

You edit an element by clicking the element.

Data source

When creating the element, you can set which data records you wish to display in the Data source field.

Function

Description

All data records

If you select this value, all data records of the selected data record type are taken into account.

Linked data records

If you select this value, only the data records of the selected data record type which are linked with the currently opened data record are taken into account.

Chart type

The way the chart is displayed depends on the Chart type. You can select one of the following chart types.

  • Bar chart
  • Pie chart
  • Donut chart
  • Funnel chart

Data label

If you enable the Data labels option, then the label will be displayed directly in the chart.

Display legend

If you activate the Display legend option, the legend is displayed.

The legend is interactive for users. Clicking a legend entry toggles the display of the respective value in the chart.

Compact legend

If you activate this option, the chart legend is always displayed on a single line. If there is not enough space to display all the legend entries, you can scroll horizontally.

Hide automatically

For an element you can set how it should behave if no content is available.

The setting of the parent element is adopted.

The brackets always contain the value that is set for the parent element. A parent element can, for example, be the z-layout.

Heading

The following options are available to change a static header or title.

With this button, you remove the current header.

With this button, you select a header. In the list, you can find all texts available for the open app.

With this button, you change the text of the header.

 
Note

This text may appear in different locations. If you edit the text, it will be changed in all locations.

System texts cannot be edited.

Using this button, you can enter a new text.

  • The Key (ID) field is completed automatically and you do not have to change it.
  • You can enter the text in any of the languages which are available in SmartWe.

Device classes

In the Device classes field, you can define the types of devices on which the elements can be displayed.

The element is displayed in the SmartWe Mobile App.

Web

The element is displayed in SmartWe in the browser.

Visible

With the Visible option, you define whether the element should be displayed.

With this button, you can also enter a script to individually define the visibility.

Automatic update after (in minutes)

The contents of specific elements can regularly and automatically be calculated anew. You can set the interval in the Automatic update after (in minutes) field.

If you select Never, then the element will only be updated when loading the page.

Display

In the Display area, you define which information is displayed in the list of additional data records. This setting only applies to a specific location: if a user opens a data record in the extended list, all other data records from this group are displayed to the left of the opened data record. The display settings defined here are used in this list.

Standard

Default means that the settings of the linked data record are adopted. You can define this default settings via the Display options for data record types menu entry in the view menu of the App Designer toolbar.

Deactivate the Default option if you want to define custom settings for the element.

1. row

The value in the 1. row is displayed in large font and as a rule contains essential information on the data record, for example, the Keyword for a task.

Display (table)

In the Display (table) area, you can select the columns you want to display in the table. This table is opened when a user clicks a value.

Click the button and select the desired columns.

If you do not define a setting, the default settings are used for the respective data record type.
