Extension point
Extensions are app elements which are connected to a specific app. One example for an extension is the Distribution list in the Contacts app. The different extensions are collected in the Extension point element. The Extension point element is displayed after all other elements in each data record type in the z-layout area.

Using several extension points
You can insert several extension points if needed. To insert a new extension point, assign an ID starting with record.. You can almost freely select the second part of the ID, except for the following restriction: record.default is reserved for the default extension point. If an extension point already exists, the record.default ID is usually already taken.
Deleting the extension point
You can delete any extension point. But please note that the extensions for the respective data record type can then no longer be displayed.
If you have deleted the default extension point, you can insert it again later. We recommend to adopt the suggested record.default ID, as extensions are assigned by default to this extension point ID.
Deleting extensions
You cannot directly delete the individual extensions within the extension points in the App Designer. But you can set an extension to Inactive and the respective extension will then no longer be displayed.
If you moved an extension to another location on the form, the Remove button appears for that extension. When you click this button, the extension is moved back to the Extension point element and is automatically set to Inactive.
Appearance in SmartWe
