Creating a script field

The following describes how to insert a script field. You will see which functions are available when creating a field in the Functions section.

Procedure

  1. Activate the App Designer.

  2. Activating the App Designer

  3. In the app of your choice, open a data record in read or editing mode.
  4. Click Customize in the toolbar of the App Designer.
  5. Click Extend group in the desired group.

  6. You can first create a new group if required.

  7. Creating groups

  8. Select Script field.
  9. The script field is inserted with the caption Script field and the value empty and can then be configured.

Functions

When creating an element you do not need to change any settings. The element is entered immediately using the default settings. To change the settings, click the element.
