Web frame: Update web content

The following describes how you can display your own content in your web frame instead of an external URL.

Procedure

  1. Insert the web frame element at the location of your choice, as described on the following pages:

  2. Creating a web frame

  3. In the App Designer toolbar, click Apply.
  4. Open the action menu in the App Designer toolbar and select Update web content.
  5. Click Search and select the file from your computer.

  6. The contents of your web app must be available as a ZIP file. The ZIP file should contain all relevant data, such as pictures, stylesheets, HTML files, and so on.

  7. Click Upload.
  8. The data is uploaded and unzipped on the server.

    Note

    The web frame is updated automatically, if the website content is available in the main folder of the uploaded ZIP file via an index.htm or index.html file.

    If this is not the case, then you have to enter the name of the file you wish to display in the Target address field of the web frame.

    Editing the web frame

If you wish to swap out the web frame content which you have just uploaded, you can simply upload a new ZIP file and change the Target address field if necessary.
