Extension point (tab)

You can add one or multiple extension points to a tab bar.

smartdesign.base.PartExtensionPoint

Each tab bar contains one extension point by default. This default extension point can be edited and has the following ID: record.part.default.

 
Tip

If you have deleted the default extension point and want to insert it again, create a new extension point as described below and enter the record.part.default ID.

Procedure

  1. Activate the App Designer in the Administration app
  2. In the app of your choice, open a data record in read mode.
  3. Click Customize in the toolbar of the App Designer.
  4. Click the button in the tab bar to add a new tab.
  5. Select Extension point (tab).
  6. Fill in the Extension point (ID) field and then click Apply.
  7. The element is inserted. If necessary, you can move the element to another position.

Extension point (ID)

When creating an extension point, the ID for the extension point has to be defined. For tabs, the ID always begins with record.part and can be extended as you wish.
