Deleting custom apps
If necessary, you can delete a custom app.
You can open this setting at different locations in the App Designer:
- In the App Designer area in the Administration app: Click the desired app in the App management block.
- On the SmartWe homepage: Open the context menu of the desired app and select Edit app.
- In the App Designer toolbar: In an opened app, you can find the Edit app menu entry in the view menu in the App Designer toolbar.
Note
A deleted app cannot be restored.
After confirming your security prompt, the app will be promptly deleted and any changes automatically made public.
When deleting an app, the current session has to be reset. All changes which have not been published will be lost.
Procedure
- Open the settings of a custom app, for example, by right-clicking the app icon.
- Select Edit app.
- Click Delete.
- After confirming the security prompt, the app is deleted.
If you delete a web app, then all the data for the web app is deleted.
When you delete a SmartDesign App, the app including all relevant settings is removed from SmartWe. The data record type is not deleted.
If necessary, you can delete the associated data record type in the Data record types area of the Administration App.
