Tab layout

With the Tab layout, you can order different data record fields and elements on to different tabs. The tab bar is always inserted above the form and remains visible when scrolling. You can customize both the tab bar and the individual tabs.

The Tab layout is available in both read and editing modes for a data record.

The Tab layout is preset for all standard apps of SmartWe.

 
Tip

If this layout has already been activated, you can select another layout in the tab bar of an element.

Custom apps: Activating the tab layout

After you have created a custom app, the default layout is automatically activated. You can switch to the tab layout as follows:

Procedure

  1. Open a data record in read or editing mode.
  2. Click Customize in the toolbar of the App Designer.
  3. Open the action menu.
  4. Click Edit layout.
  5. Select the Tab layout.
  6. The tab layout is activated immediately and can be edited.

    Note

    After you have published your changes, you can no longer switch layouts using the action menu in the toolbar. Instead, you can switch between the tab and the wizard layout via the tab bar.
